The 10-digit customs nomenclature TARIC (European Union Integrated Tariff) may change from year to year.
These changes are generally made twice a yearat the end of July and December. But legislation can also lead to ad hoc changes during the year.
Following the update of the Combined Nomenclature (see illustration above) published by Official Journal dated 31 October, 174 new nomenclatures have been added to TARIC codes for most industrial sectors.
For example, TARIC codes 9003190020 « Base metal spectacle frames for corrective spectacles« and 9003190030 « Other base metal spectacle frames » have been merged under code 9003190040. This amendment, however, was purely statistical in scope.
