USA / China: list of overtaxed products in preparation

In the trade war between China and the United States *, a new round could take place in September...

On 17 July, the United States officially released a list of 6,301 products that would be subject to additional tariffs of 10%. It was developed taking into account the impact that this measure could have on US consumers. However, the US government announces that it is provisional and that everyone can submit notices and comments until August 17. A review of the various opinions will be carried out at the end of August and the final version should be submitted in early September.

A large number of international supply chains could suffer from this new lifting of shields from the United States against Chinese imports, knowing that almost all chapters of the customs tariff are concerned (the list is available on request for our subscribers)!

If this new tariff increase were to come into force, let us be sure that China would soon respond...
