Customs declaration: dematerialization, a leading subject in 2023
As a reminder, the new customs declaration was provided for in a logical way.harmonisation between the different Member Statesinformation required. The aim is to define, structure, enrich and formalise all the data to facilitate their collection and exploitation in a dematerialised way.
Here are the first information provided by Customs on this subject.
The declaration will contain approximately 120 data against 56 boxes on the AUD, but most of the information provided today will remain the same, it is the way to integrate them that will change:
- Some data will be divided: for example, the Incoterms® code and the figure specifying the place of l
- Other data will be modified such as box 44 which grouped several types of information; It will be divided into different fields (special information, attached documents, special tariff provisions, additional national and Community codes, etc.)
- Some data will appear as differentiation between buyer and importer concepts and between seller and exporter concepts.
Following the announcement of the postponement of the pilot phase for the entry into service of DELTA I/E on import, a new timetable was published by the Administration and a draft* The report was established in December.
The pilot phase for import should start from 15 July 2023 with a generalisation planned for September 2023. With regard to the export phase, it is expected to start a year later in July 2024.
