Dual Use Goods: List updated at 31/12/19

The list of BDUs subject to export controls outside the European Union has been updated as at 31 December 2019.

The annual update of the Annexes to Regulation (EC) No 428/2009, and in particular that ofAnnex I on the list of controlled goodswas published by the European Commission in January 2020 and has been applicable since 31/12/2019.

A consolidated version of current Regulation (EC) 428/2009 will soon be available.

The Export Control of Goods and Technologies « For dual use » (BDU) is being implemented to combat the destabilizing accumulation of weapons and the proliferation of means of mass destruction in certain parts of the world.

Enter this category « goods, equipment – including technologies, software, intangible or intangible know-how – that may have both civilian and military use or that may, in whole or in part, contribute to the development, production, handling, operation, maintenance, storage, detection, identification, dissemination of weapons of mass destruction« .

Whether you are a manufacturer or a reseller, you are concerned when you wish to export dual-use goods listed in Annex I to Council Regulation (EC) 428/2009 of 5 May 2009 as amended.
