Sourcing Turkey: increase in minimum wage on 1 January 2021

The Turkish government has improved the minimum wages by around 20% on 01/01/2021.

On 1 January in Turkey, new minimum wage net is 2,826 TRY for a single person and 30,13.70 TRY for a married person with 3 children, or more than 20% increase.

The Turkish Minister of Labour welcomed this increase, although above inflationWhile the unions believe that it is far below their expectations...

In fact, Turkish workers have seen their purchasing power significantly following the monetary crisis in August, during which the Turkish pound lost 30% of its value.
