MACF/CBAM: a new webinar to follow the next steps

As part of the preparation for future MACF regulatory obligations, the Directorate General for Energy and Climate (DGEC) invites French importers to an exchange on 28 April with the possibility of asking questions upstream.

The Directorate-General for Energy and Climate (DGEC) offers a webinar dedicated to companies affected by the Carbon Adjustment Mechanism at the Border (MACF), the Monday 28 April at 2 p.m..

In the exchange programme, it is planned to discuss future obligations for the year 2027:

  • detailed presentation of the calendar
  • the terms of the first annual declaration
  • the procedure for purchasing MACF certificates.

Exchange time will be set aside to address the issues of greatest concern to importers in the implementation of the Regulations.

To prepare the webinar, the DGEC proposes that importers submit their questions, before 22 April, through a form available on the MACF page. The questionnaire is accessible via the following link:Preparation of the MACF webinar.

The link to the webinar will also be available on the DGEC website.
