EU IMPORT: new anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures

Theanti-dumping proceedingis one of the main tools used by the EU to regulate imports and protect its market on the basis of international trade rules.
The principle ofCommercial dumping(loss sales below cost) is prohibited by the World Trade Organization (WTO).
In response to a legally proven dumping practice, any WTO member country has the possibility to establish aAdditional import taxfor the products concerned in order to protect its market.
Namedanti-dumping duty(DAD), this tax isadded to customs duties and entered into the VAT base.
NB: In some cases, the applicable anti-dumping duty rate may vary depending on the manufacturer.
