Duty of vigilance: report points to shortcomings
The CCFD-Terre Solidaire and Sherpa have just published the third edition of their Radar of the duty of vigilance which allows to identify the list of French companies subject to the law.
Through this report*, the two NGOs draw up a list of the companies concerned by the law on the duty of vigilance (cf.Duty of vigilance: Bill passed... 1st deadline on 01/01/2018!). Four years after the enactment of the ActIt is still difficult to identify companies that are bound by this obligation. This is why both associations have done a substantive work and published this report.
This third edition reveals that at least263 companies would be subject to the lawand 44 of them,17% would be at faultbecause they do not publish a plan of vigilance. However, there has been an improvement since the previous report in 2020, in which there were 72 companies that failed to meet this obligation (cf.Duty of Vigilance: French companies in the « radar » NGOs). Finally, six companies have been brought to justice or have been the subject of notices by associations and/or trade unions.
