Dematerialization of the customs declaration: modification of the deployment schedule
The implementation of DELTA I/E should be postponed to the second half of 2023 according to a timetable and modalities which still need to be clarified.
The DGDDI project team, in charge of reshaping the import/export processes, published a communication to operators on 12 October setting out changes to the deployment schedule for DELTA I/E, initially scheduled for early 2023 (cf.Dematerialization of the customs declaration, further events).
Here is an excerpt from the Customs announcement:
« The progress of the construction of the DELTA I/E online service has led DGDDI to reconsider the timetable for this project. The entry into service of DELTA I/E on importation, originally scheduled for 31 March 2023, will probably take place in thesecond half 2023. Direct consequence of this adjustment, the three-month pilot phase scheduled from 1 January 2023 is adjourned. This additional time will allow forsecure the commissioning of the new tool, and will be used to better prepare and accompany you. DGDDI will keep you informed of the new deployment schedule for DELTA I/E as soon as it has been agreed ».
