VOCID-19 > Import France: end of derogation from EC standards for PPE
The Directorate General of French Customs informs us that the derogation from Community standards and CE marking will end for imports of masks, glasses and protective visors, as part of the health crisis VOCID 19.
Two steps are planned:

End of the derogation regime on 02/09/2020 for masks, glasses and visors, for all uses.
As regards the masks, they are defined for this deadline, Surgical masks classified as a medical device (DM), intended for consumers, and surgical masks, meeting the GB/T 32610 standard, for all recipients. -
End of the derogation regime on 31/10/2020, for surgical masks (DM), For professionals.
NB: From September 2nd to October 30th, 2020, importers of these masks will have to submit a written undertaking, specifying strict professional use.
On the other hand, since 1 July 2020, new full labelling requirement applies to non-sanitary surgical masks, GB/T 32610 masks and masks which have been re-qualified as non-sanitary masks.
The entries in Annex IV of the Interdepartmental Instruction of 09 June 2020*, shall appear on the labelling or package leaflet of these products, except for the third indent of the list for masks subject to no standard.
In addition, for GB/T 32610 masks and masks subject to no standard, labelling should include « that they are not medical devices or personal protective equipment ».
