Brexit : EU / United Kingdom negotiations at a standstill
A third week of negotiations between the European Union and the United Kingdom has begun... and differences persist.
Already three weeks ago the two sides opposed the terms of their future relationship, each accusing the other of not showing good will.
On the European Union side, the question arises as to whether the UK strategy would not voluntarily allow time to increase pressure in order toobtaining concessions at the last moment and/or cause Failure of negotiations.
On the British side, the wish is not to extend the transitional period and to reach a free trade agreement. « classic », without losing its sovereignty.
A real dialogue of the deaf who, despite the very uncertain economic climate, does not seem ready to reach an agreement...
