ASEAN / Hong Kong: signing a free trade agreement

SUPLY CHAIN

On 12 November 2017, ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations – ASEAN) and Hong Kong signed a bilateral free trade and investment agreement.

After three years of negotiations, these agreements have been concluded and will applicable from 1 January 2019.

They cover all aspects of free trade in goods: tariffs, rules of origin, customs procedures, dispute resolution, and also services: investment, economic cooperation.
