ANTES: end of transition period for air operators
ICS2 (Import Control System 2), the evolution of the security declaration at import, centralizes the transmission of security declarations on a Community portal, regardless of the member country of entry of the goods, which was not the case in the initial version of ICS launched in 2011. Under these conditions, each Member State had to make available a tool capable of generating the notification of the presentation of the products and their placement in temporary deposits before customs clearance.
In France, this tool is called ANTES and operators dealing with air traffic have been obliged to use it since 1 October. Professionals who are not yet ready and have not contacted the ANTES project team are invited toGetting closer without delay to the Committee1.
Operators already connected to ANTES, who encounter data transmission malfunctions, must report them as soon as possible so that technical services can take the appropriate measures quickly.
