REACH ALERT: 4 new SVHC substances
17 January 2022, ECHA**, European Chemicals Agency, updated the list of candidates for the ban on substances of high concern (SVHC) with 4 new subsidies. This list now includes223 substances.
One of the four substances isused in cosmeticsand was added to the candidate list due to its hormonal disturbance properties in humans. Two are used inrubbers, lubricants and sealantsand have a negative impact on fertility. The fourth to achievelubricants and greaseshas been added as it is persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic and therefore harmful to the environment.
