US/Mexico/Canada FTA: USMCA Trilateral Agreement Adopted!
On March 13, 2020, the Canadian Parliament passed the bill to ratify the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States and Mexico.
Called USMCA* In the United States, CUSMA in Canada and T-MEC in Mexico, the new North American Free Trade Agreement is formally adopted by the three partner countries, replacing the former NAFTA tripartite agreement.
Canada is the last to ratify the Trade Agreement, afterMexico in December 2019 and the United States in January 2020 (cf. United States / Mexico / Canada: AEUCM Agreement (USMCA) signed on the US side) .
One 3 months is planned to give the signatories time to define the regulations that will govern the mechanisms of the agreement.
