Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2019

Transparency International has published its 2019 CPI Report.

  • More than two-thirds of countries score below 50 on a scale of 100.
  • 22 countries improved their score (including Estonia, Greece, Guyana and Italy), but 21 were downgraded in the meantime.
  • Most advanced economies who implemented a strong legal environment do not reach their commitment level :

    • Canada and France step back 4 points
    • UK -3 points
    • USA -2 points

FCPA, UKBA and Loi Sapin 2 generate high expectations from the civil society, still to be honored.
