EU / Japan: Historical Free Trade Agreement (JEFTA)
SUPLY CHAIN
The JEFTA (Japan-EU free trade agreement), a bilateral free trade agreement between the European Union and Japan, was officially finalised on 8 December 2017.
Almost unnoticed, it will be no less one of the most important trade agreements ever signed by the European Union 97% of customs duties should be abolished early in 2019.
Main beneficiary sectors on the European exporters side: agri-food, chemicals, cosmetics and textiles and clothing.
