Like maritime transport, the air sector seems to be moving towards a rapprochement / merger of companies.

A dozen players in the industry could share the air freight market in four major geographical areas:

United States
China
Persian Gulf
Europe

According to Lufthansa's boss,‘Europe is lagging behind on consolidation, and the increasingly poor financial performance of companies will favour mergers – acquisitions.
