BREXIT postponed: the UK will have to decide before the European elections!

Meeting in the European Council, the leaders of the 27 member countries agreed to the British Prime Minister's proposal to postpone the official date for the UK's exit from the European Union... on certain conditions!

The initial date of Brexit, with or without agreement with the EU, was initially set for 29 March 2019 (see BREXIT: forecast calendar until 2021).

But in the face of the British Parliament's blocking of the withdrawal agreement (cf. BREXIT: Soon the outcome?), the European Union granted Theresa May a stay in the form of an ultimatum:

either the agreement is finally voted in the House of Commons in the coming days and the UK will automatically benefit from carried forward from Brexit until 22 May 2019 to allow for the official ratification of the texts;
eitheragreement does not pass and the United Kingdom until 12 April 2019 to propose a new project for the 27... or leave the EU without agreement (« No deal »). This deadline was not chosen by chance: it corresponds tothe deadline for publication of the decree of participation in the European elections which will take place on 26 May...

Theresa May will therefore submit for the third time the withdrawal agreement to the vote of the British deputies in the next few days: the same agreement to the decimal point since Brussels categorically refuses to renegotiate it... Suffice to say his chances are slim!
