Special customs procedures: Customs organises a webinar

The COMINT1 office dedicated to the simplification of customs clearance organises an exchange with operators in early March on the topic of special arrangements.

In an environment marked by the strengthening of regulations and protectionist measures in international trade, European producers and operators must maintain their competitiveness in the face of increasingly demanding economic challenges. These pressures weaken the economies of the 27 EU Member States.

To enable companies to reduce the financial impact of customs (and/or anti-dumping) duties, solutions are offered to European companies using specific customs procedures.

Customs warehouse, active or passive processing, temporary exports, all these so-called schemes « Special » There are significant advantages but also constraints on implementation, with financial guarantees and authorisations to be obtained, as well as in operational monitoring with, inter alia, the maintenance of rigorous material accounting.

The Customs Directorate proposes a webinar on Tuesday 3 March from 11am to 12pm to review the rules governing the management and use of these special schemes.
