EU COMBINED NAME: Update 2018
The European Commission has published the latest version of the Combined Nomenclature (CN), applicable from 1 January 2018.
The Combined Nomenclature serves as the basis for the declaration of goods (a) on import or export or (b) when they are subject to intra-EU trade statistics.
This determines the rate of customs duty applicable to them and how they will be treated for statistical purposes.
The NC is therefore an indispensable working tool for economic operators and customs administrations in the Member States.
What's new in 2018?
Following the major update of the European nomenclature in 2017, together with the World HS (WCO) nomenclature, this year only a few minor changes will be madeTariff and statistical nomenclature and the Common Customs Tariff.
