MACF: webinar and certificate costing tool

Since yesterday, new information from DGEC and DGDDI is available.
On 30 September, DGEC (Directorate-General for Energy and Climate) and DGDDI (Directorate-General for Customs and Indirect Duties) announced the organisation of a new webinar dedicated to MACF. It will be held on Thursday, 16 October, from 10.30 a.m. and 12 noon, and will focus on the following themes:
- how to prepare for the effective entry into force of MACF on 1 January 2026
- the practical consequences of the revision of the MACF Regulation (Omnibus Simplification)
- how to estimate and anticipate the incremental cost of MACF

From a practical point of view, the DGEC has also developed a new tool to help importers and registrants authorized to estimate the amounts to be paid under the MACF from the 1st year onwards.and January 2026.
