Saudi Arabia redefines cosmetics and perfumery trade

According to Circular No. 37719/2 issued by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), manufacturers and exporters of cosmetic products and perfumery intended for distribution in Saudi Arabia are no longer permitted to place on the labels of their products phrases or indications suggesting that they are specially manufactured for a market other than Saudi Arabia. As a result, any cosmetic or perfumery product that does not comply with this requirement will not be released by the Saudi authorities.
