IRAN: import ban on more than 1300 products

In order to preserve its economy against US sanctions, the Iranian government announced its intention to ban the import of more than 1300 products.

Targeted products would be products that can be locally manufactured ason household appliances, the textile products, footwear and leather articles, the furnitureand the Health products.

However the detailed list of nomenclatures has not yet been published and information about the possible date of application was also not disclosed.

This would serve to preserve foreign exchange reserves and thus prepare the country for the entry into force of the sanctions imposed by the United States following the withdrawal of the Iranian nuclear agreement.
