Main innovations of Incoterms® 2010
- 11 incoterms instead of 13, for domestic and international trade
- End of incoterms DAF / DES / DEQ / DDU for 2 new incoterms : DAP / DAT
- Incoterm EXW now recommended for domestic trade, i.e. when there are no customs formalities for export. Example: intra-Community flows
- End of the concept of « passage of the basting » For FOB incoterm. The transfer of risks and costs is now carried out when the vessel is on board.
- Multimodal incoterms are recommended for the transport of containerized goods
- Official recognition of dematerialized documents, provided that they are accepted by the Contracting Parties and in accordance with the requirements
- Consideration of supply chain security measures that are developing in the context of global trade.
- Greater awareness of parties to avoid double payment of port handling fees
