Import Tunisia: mandatory production of export declaration

CUSTOMS

Since 14/03/2018, when imported with release for consumption in Tunisia, the importer must submit to the customs authorities the document of the customs declaration of the country of export: without this document, the file will be considered incomplete by the Tunisian customs.

This new requirement concerns many products such as food and drink, cosmetics, clothing and footwear, dishes, telephones, etc. (list of products subject to presentation of the export customs declaration available on request).

By this measure, the Tunisian Government counts Combating misrepresentation with lowest prices for imported products... and thus increase its customs revenues.
