IMPORT Morocco: increase in customs duties for 2018?

The Moroccan Government seems to be exploring the possibility of reorganizing the tariff grid.

Finished consumer products would rise from 17.5 to 20%, and those from countries with which Morocco is not bound by a free trade agreement would rise to 30% instead of 25% at present.

These measures could be included in the 2018 Finance Act, and would directly impact economic operators importing from the Asian continent.

An information which falls at the time when Morocco and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) have concluded a memorandum of economic cooperation with the aim of consolidating relations between the two parties.
