Cambodia and Myanmar import: temporary restoration of rice tariffs

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/67 of 16 January 2019 introducing safeguard measures with regard to imports of Indica rice originating in Cambodia and Myanmar/Burma

Following a request from Italy in February 2018, the European Commission approved the adoption of the safeguard measureson imports of Indica rice originating in Cambodia and Myanmar/Burma and currently falling within CN codes:

  • 1006 30 27
  • 1006 30 48
  • 1006 30 67
  • 1006 30 98

The customs duties in the Common Customs Tariff are therefore re-established as follows:from 17 January 2019:

  1. Year 1: EUR 175/t
  2. Year 2: EUR 150/t
  3. Grade 3: EUR 125/t
