Sea freight: strike notice in French ports 26 January 2023

Due to a strike movement, disruptions could be felt in French ports today, Thursday 26 January.

A call for strike against pension reform was launched by the National Federation of Ports and Docks (FNPD) for today,Thursday 26 January 2023, for a period of 24 hours (i.e. earlier than the national movement set at Tuesday 31 January). If the movement is particularly monitored, as was the case last week, disruptions are expected in French ports, with possible repercussions on theloading and unloading of ships.

The FNPD has also asked the port workers to stop the « exceptional overtime and shiftsfrom 26 January ».

Having specified that it would multiply the shares until the text was withdrawn, other strike movements may be organized in the coming weeks

We will follow this information closely in order to anticipate operations as much as possible.
