FRANCE SESAME : EORI SIREN compulsory from July 2026
FRANCE SÉSAME, as a reminder, is a digital platform that centralizes and tracks the movement of goods across borders. It consolidates all information related to customs, health and logistics formalities, and facilitates coordination between businesses, customs and control services. It concerns all actors involved in import, export or transit (importers, exporters, customs representatives, carriers or logistics).
Since 11 June 2025, EORI SIREN has been mandatory for all applications for customs authorisations in CDS and for RTC applications in EBIT. On that date, it was only used to identify the company for its customs declarations and procedures.
Today, in FRANCE SESAME, EORI SIREN becomes a real access management identifier. It allows the company to manage the access rights of its employees. Specifically:
- an authorised employee may monitor the progress of the formalities,
- another may change information or initiate certain procedures.
Prior to this, the EORI SIREN was only used to identify the company to report transactions. It now makes it possible to organise and secure access within the company.
The EORI SIRET will remain active until 30 June 2026 to allow companies time to complete the transition. After that date, only the EORI SIREN will be used for all operations on FRANCE SESAME. It is therefore recommended to update your authorizations now.
