France: Barometer of the evolution of CSR in industry
What does CSR look like in the French industry?
229 industry decision makers were interviewed about the existence, deployment and key areas of CSR in their businesses.
The most widely used benchmark is the Global Compact Charter.
8/10 confirm the importance of CSR practices, 66% measure their effectiveness and 50% give priority to partners or interested parties involved.
Over 50% attribute a positive impact to CSR on their image, employee mobilization, and overall company performance.
The scope of deployment is mainly internal (management and employees) covering recruitment issues, women's access to leadership, and the facilitation of telework.
The environmental measures are numerous and mainly linked to the reduction of the environmental impact of the company (waste, recycling, energy consumption, carbon footprint, optimized process...)
Too bad, not enough entrepreneurship is secured, and external deployment includingsuppliers and clients is still modest.
However, the study reveals new directions for progress within multinationals such asEquity between employees from all countries.
