Export Morocco: mandatory ECI number on import declarations as of 1 March 2019
SUPLY CHAIN
The Moroccan Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) informs the operators that the Moroccan importer's Common Identification Number (ICE) will have to be given at customs.
This number makes it easier for Moroccan customs to identify the consignee in Morocco.
In order to meet this requirement and facilitate customs clearance, French and European exporters are advised to indicate on the invoice the ICE number of the Moroccan consignee.
The expected date of implementation of this measure is 01/03/2019.
NB: if the consignee does not have an ICE number, and only if justified, a fictitious code may be entered in the customs declaration.
