Export Morocco: 40% increase in customs duties
SUPLY CHAIN
Morocco adopted the Financial Amendment Act 2020: one of the proposals was to increase the rate of customs duty on imports.
Thus, since its promulgation on 27 July 2020, the customs duty on imports into Morocco for 125 products has risen to 40% instead of 30%. As explained in our previous article(cf.Export Morocco: possible increase in customs duties...), products benefiting from a tariff preference thanks to the free trade agreements signed with Morocco are not affected by this increase.
As a reminder, the 2020 Finance Act had already raised the rate from 25 to 30%. This is the second increase for this year 2020.
