United Arab Emirates / Israel: Free Trade Agreement concluded

Six months and four rounds of negotiations will have been enough for the United Arab Emirates and Israel to reach a trade pact abolishing tariffs on the majority of their goods.
A year and a half after Abraham's agreements normalized their relations, the United Arab Emirates and Israel signed afree trade agreement1 April. Under discussion since last November, this agreement will remove customs duties on 95% of the products traded. In 2021, the two partners were in$900 million.
An agreement signed within six months, record time for this type of cooperation which usually takes several years before it can be achieved. The two parliaments now have to ratify the text so that it can enter into force.
