Dematerialization of customs declarations: one month to integrate DELTA I/E

At the request of the companies, the customs agreed to postpone the deadline for integrating DELTA/IE by one month, thus bearing the date of changeover to 30 June 2025.

The deadline is approaching to integrate the new management of customs declarations which will be completely dematerialized in DELTA I/E. Customs and trade are struggling to manage the transition from DELTA to DELTA I/E.

The first version of DELTA I/E to issue simple release declarations works. For the time being, a few companies that manage their own customs declarations in the DTI format use this version.

The new version of DELTA I/E allowing for almost all types of import declarations in DTI and EDI formats, which concern all service providers, has just been delivered on 27 May.

The deadline for all operators to be included in DELTA I/E was initially 31 May.

At the request of trade, the deadline has been extended to 30 June 2025by lFrench administrationThis should make it possible to manage this passage more calmly in the new reporting system.

However, despite this delay, time to adapt to the new tool will necessarily be needed and bugs and other computer malfunctions that may emerge, the issuance and admissibility of customs declarations could take longer than at present. It is therefore necessary to expect delays in delivery in the first months of use and to organize its flows of goods taking into account these extended delays.
