DELTA I/E: the closure of DELTA G is delayed

DELTA IE should have become the exclusive customs clearance system for imports from 1 July. However, many uncorrected anomalies persist, causing French Customs to allow the closure of the current DELTA G and DELTA X systems to be delayed.

The deadline of 30 June, the first postponement of the closure of the DELTA G system, could not be met. The deployment of the new system still encounters important anomalies which require corrections and the level of change in customs import operations remains low (13.70% of declarations made in DELTA I between 16 and 22 June).

Therefore, DELTA G and DELTA X remain provisionally available, but their use must remain strictly limited to justified cases.

The old systems can only be used in the cases described below by Customs:

  • Unable to validate in DELTA IE (arranged or not):
    • Submit a request for assistance via the OLGA (Online Support Management Tools),
    • If the response time is incompatible with the urgency of removal, switch to DELTA G or DELTA X.

  • BAE status not obtained without other identified blocking status (such as status « under control » or « Credit outstanding » or cash payment ») :
    • Same procedure as above: request via OLGA, then eventually use of DELTA G/X in case of emergency, but in this case you should consider requesting invalidation of the declaration in DELTA IE from the customs office.

  • Generalised malfunction of the IE DELTA system identified by Customs (observable via the ProDouane services weather forecast) :
    • Apply the emergency procedure provided for in BOD No 7557 of 10 January 2025.

DGDDI actively works on:

  • Stabilize the main flows (in particular in express freight and cargo),
  • Prioritize the most blocking patches,
  • Communicate regularly on anomalies and updates,
  • Update the switch strategy according to the advances.

Monitoring of deployment is updated on the page dedicated to system redesign. For optimal follow-up, we recommend that you consult it every week.
