CHINA: Planned opening of the financial sector

China is taking another step towards opening its financial sector to foreign companies.

China will allow foreign companies to take majority holdings (51%) in Chinese banks, brokerage or asset management companies: this ceiling should be abolished within three years

This announcement, made by the Chinese Deputy Minister on the last day of the official visit of the President of the United States is a new strong signal of China's will to open upWhile Donald Trump denounces Beijing's protectionism and the inequity of trade relations between the two partners.
