China: further reduction of customs duties as of 1 July 2018

On May 31, the Chinese Prime Minister announced a further reduction in customs duties on imports into China, applicable on July 1, 2018.

This decrease will cover 1,449 current consumer products such as clothing, shoes, sports items, washing machines, cosmetics...

The average customs duty rate will increase from 15.7% to 6.9%.

Note that this is the fourth time since 2015 that China has reduced its import tariffs...
