BREXIT: Evolution of the logistics envelope for import flows
The logistics envelope is expected to evolve soon. For import flows, it will be possible to enter the ENS (Entry Summary Declaration) report number.
A new feature should soon enrich the latest version of the logistics envelope that allows you to cross the Transmanche intelligent border (cf.BREXIT: entry into force of the new logistics envelope on 1 August 2022). Indeed, a note from the Directorate-General for Customs and Indirect Rights (DGDDI) was issued to inform the operators that it will soon be possible to integrate, in the logistic envelopesFor import flow, the references of the entry summary declarations (ENS) attached to the transport unit with which the logistic envelope is paired.
In addition to securing the SI Brexit-ICS process when goods enter the Community customs territory, this process is announced as a time-saving process, since it should allow for verification of the status of the ENS declaration and its connection to transport. It remains to be seen how this new additional field is articulated at the operational level.
Due to a technical incident, this option, which was to be available from Monday, 10 October, ispostponed to a later date. We will keep you informed of developments.
