BREXIT and Transport: France aligns with the European Commission's emergency plan

France is preparing for a Brexit without agreement. Its measures are based on the European Commission's emergency plan, which includes measures for trans-missible air, road and maritime transport.

As the agreements are at a standstill, France is preparing for a separation with the United Kingdom without economic agreement!

Of the 5 orders currently being adopted, 2 concern transport:

  1. The first must facilitate the development of infrastructure for the restoration of border controls, particularly in ports. The recruitment of 600 agents is planned (customs officers, veterinarians...).
  2. The second would allow companies established in the United Kingdom to continueoperating transport services in France.
Under the guise of reciprocity by all Member States and the observance of fair conditions of competition, a first proposal guarantees the
air services between the United Kingdom and the European Union12 months after 29 March.
A second plan is to extend the validity of aviation safety licences for 9 months.
