Dual-use goods : update 2024
On 5 September 2024, the European Commission adopted a delegated regulation on the updating of the export control list for dual-use goods.
On 1 October the Directorate-General for Trade in Brussels communicated on theupdate of Schedule I of the Dual Use Goods Regulations(Regulation EU 2021/821), which should be ratified within two months of Parliament's approval.
In the programme of this update, we can see mainly thatnew productssubject to regulation. Some of the new equipment in thenuclear field, ofprecursors used in chemical activitiesand somenoise reduction equipment.
The Commission takes the opportunity to communicate the new control parameters and states that this update is taking place within the framework of EU commitments related to multilateral export control regimes with global partners.
The draft Regulation is, for the moment, only availablein Englishpending publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
