REACH Alert: 7 new SVHC substances added to the candidate list!
On 15/01/2018, ECHA added seven new chemicals to the list of SVHC candidates for ban in the EU.
New substances of high concern (SVHC) added to the REACH candidate list on 15/01/2018:

Companies may have legal obligations resulting from the inclusion of these substances in the list of substances applying for prohibition (Annex XIV).
These obligations may apply to the listed substance alone, in mixture or in articles.
Any supplier of articles containing candidate list substance above a concentration of 0.1% a communication obligations to buyers/distributors downstream of the supply chain, as well as to final consumers.
In addition, importers and producers of articles containing these substances 6 months from the date of its inclusion in the list of candidate substances (15 January 2018) to notify ECHA.
